Hyatt Award Category Changes

Our annual award chart updates will take effect on March 18, meaning the number of points required for a free night at some hotels is changing. No new Categories have been added, and the points required for each Category will remain the same.

We wanted to be sure to let you know ahead of time so that you can plan and get the most out of your points. The chart below includes only the hotels that are moving up (requiring more points) or moving down (requiring less points) starting March 18.

Some things to keep in mind:

  • When you book before March 18, your reservations will follow the current free night award chart found here.
  • Reservations made on or after March 18 will follow the new free night award chart and incorporate the updates noted below
  • Existing reservations for nights on or after March 18 will receive a refund for the point difference if the hotel moved to a lower category
  • For more information see our FAQs

Take a look at the chart that shows the properties that are going up and down and see if there are any that you need to book prior to the change.
