Lemara Thompson, 27, a NYC Delta based flight attendant was charged with drinking on the job. She was caught at London’s Heathrow airport this summer where was found to be 7x over the blood alcohol limit for a working crew member.
It’s unclear if the flight attendant was getting ready to work a flight back to New York, or if she had just arrived into London-Heathrow and was drinking during the flight. I’m sure more details of what happened will unravel once she has to court next month.
Per the New York Post,
A Delta flight attendant from Brooklyn has been accused of being almost seven times over the alcohol limit while on duty at London’s Heathrow Airport, according to a report.
Lemara Thompson, 27, allegedly had 135 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood in her body at the major transportation hub on June 16, the UK’s Metro reported.
She was charged with performing an aviation function with a blood-alcohol level over the prescribed limit, which is 20 milligrams for people performing duties relating to an airliner, according to Civil Aviation Authority rules and the Railways and Transport Safety Act.

With .08 being the legal limit, at 7 times that, she should have been comatose or dead.
Christian, different conversion. Her BAC was .135, only about 1.6X the legal driving limit. It was 7X the FLYING limit though.
@JRM – Thanks. I thought that flight crew couldn’t have any alcohol in their system, so that’s why I figured the standard US limit since Delta is a US airline. That makes a lot more sense.
