Uber’s New LaGuardia Pickup Experience for UberX Rides

Uber has announced they’re making changes at LaGuardia airport for UberX rides. You’ll now request an UberX in the app, however rather than be assigned a specific driver, you’ll receive a PIN code. You’ll then wait in a line where you’ll be given the next available driver.

You told us airport pickups can be stressful, and we heard you. To make your ride from LGA smoother, we’re piloting an easier pickup experience for UberX trips at Terminal C and D. Starting October 16, the new pickup experience will be in effect 8am-6pm, seven days a week.

• Request an Uber Black trip to receive your 6-digit PIN
• Walk to the Uber pickup zone
• Join the line
• Give PIN to first available driver
• Verify vehicle and driver details before you get into the car

If you still haven’t tried Uber yet, you can still get a credit towards your first ride here or your credit can be applied to your UberEats order instead.
