Delta has been making several changes to their onboard services offered amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Delta has announced their latest change in which they’ll now be handing out pre-package snack bags onboard with a selection of snacks, a bottled water and a sanitizer wipe.
These new pre-package snack bags will be distributed to all customers on Domestic flights including in the Delta One and First Class cabins in addition to Comfort + and the Main Cabin.
The snack bag, which can double as an individual trash collector once its contents are consumed, currently includes:
- Cheez-It crackers
- Biscoff cookies
- 8.5 oz Dasani bottled water
- Hand sanitizing wipe
- Cocktail napkin
These new snack bags will still be given out onboard by flight attendants shortly after take off. There was initial talks that they’d distribute these in the jetway prior to boarding, however it was ultimately decided they’d offer these onboard.
Per Delta,
We want our customers and crewmembers to know we will always have their backs,†said Mike Crowley, Delta’s Vice President – Onboard Service Operations. “As this pandemic evolves, we continue to innovate our service and respond to crew and customer feedback, while maintaining our focus on providing the hospitality Delta is known for.â€
As always, customers are welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverage to enjoy onboard, and customers flying on long-haul international routes can expect to receive temporarily streamlined in-flight services and meal choices, along with a full selection of beverage offerings.
We had one last week on a really short flight into LAX. My wife was craving my Biscoff and so I ate her Cheezits and get your mind out of the gutter!
