Marriott has shared that Marriott Bonvoy members will be getting bonus Elite Qualifying Nights deposited into their accounts in late July, which will count towards 2021 status.
Marriott has previously announced a Marriott Bonvoy 2020 Status Extension for All Members, however now they’re addressing an option for those looking to earn a new or higher tier status for next year.
Here’s what Marriott Bonvoy members can expect:
- Silver Elite members will get 5 extra elite qualifying nights
- Gold Elite members will get 13Â extra elite qualifying nights
- Platinum Elite members will get 25 extra elite qualifying nights
- Titanium Elite members will get 38 extra elite qualifying nights
- Ambassador Elite members will get 50 extra elite qualifying nights
These nights will be applied for your 2020 nights, which will count toward 2021 status so will help those looking to earn a higher status next year. If you’re trying to hit the 50 or 75 night Choice Benefit gifts then these nights will help to get you closer the thresholds. These nights will count toward lifetime status.
Additionally, members who earned Ambassador Elite Status in 2019 and achieve 100 Elite Night Credits in 2020 are eligible to gift Platinum Elite Status to one individual, e.g. friend or family member. This Platinum status will continue through February 2022.
Marriott previously has extended 2020 Marriott Bonvoy status for all Silver, Gold, Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador members through February 28 2022, so this new addition does not change their previous announcement.
