Earning through shopping portals is a great way to rack up miles for purchases that you would already make. You just head to the site first and then click through for whatever merchant you want to shop at and then you complete your purchase through them as normal, and in about a few weeks, you’ll see the bonus airline miles hit your account.

Some of the most popular ones include: Alaska Mileage Plan Shopping; American AAdvantage eShopping; Delta SkyMiles Shopping; Southwest Rapid Rewards Shopping; and United MileagePlus Shopping and this month they’re all offering bonus miles!

With Alaska Mileage Plan Shopping, you can earn 300 bonus miles after spending $150; 750 bonus miles after $300; and 1,500 bonus miles after $500 now through August 9, 2020.

With American AAdvantage eShopping, you can earn 500 bonus miles after spending $150; 1,000 bonus miles after $300; and 2,000 bonus miles after $500 now through August 17, 2020.

Bottom Line

Shopping through online shopping portal are a great way to earn bonus miles for purchases you would already be making. Allow up to 10 weeks for the bonus miles to post, however in all likelihood I’d expect them to post sooner!

There are hundreds of different stores available and many sell gift cards online, so even if you wouldn’t normally spend $700, you could for instance choose Staples and buy Whole Foods gift cards or other gift cards there to get your spending up to that amount.
