Delta Air Lines 2022 Medallion Status Accelerators

Delta Air Lines has announced a very lucrative Medallion Status accelerator which will go into effect for all flights from April 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021. You’ll earn a 50%-75% bonus of Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs), Medallion Qualification Segments (MQSs) and Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) on Delta flights.

Additionally, for the rest of this year, all award tickets will also be eligible to earn Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs), Medallion Qualification Segments (MQSs) and Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs)

Beginning with Delta flights on April 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021: 

  • Special for this year, and for the first time ever, earn towards Medallion Status on Award travel, inclusive of Miles + Cash tickets.
  • All SkyMiles Members will earn 50% more Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs), Medallion Qualification Segments (MQSs) and Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) on Delta flights – including Pay with Miles tickets, Award Travel and Delta Vacations® packages.
  • Members will earn an additional 25% – for a total of 75% more MQMs, MQSs, and MQDs – on purchases of premium fare products (Delta One®, Delta Premium Select, First Class and Delta Comfort+®) and upgrades purchased after their initial ticket purchase (cash or miles)

In addition:

  • Bonuses will also apply to challenges such as Reclaim My Status and Status Match, so while challenge thresholds won’t change, you’ll have an accelerated path to completion.
  • And, bonus MQMs will also apply to your Million Miler Status Qualification.

Note: For April 1-May 15, 2021 travel, bonus MQMs, MQSs and MQDs will be retroactively credited to your account by May 31, 2021. If you don’t see them immediately after your flight during this time period, know they’ll be credited soon. Bonuses are only applicable to earning Medallion Status, redeemable miles on Delta flights remain the same.

Boosts will be automatically applied to all eligible Delta flights flown between April 1-December 31, 2021, with no action needed from you. Here are some examples of how it works:

Delta has not made any adjustments to Medallion qualification for 2022, instead it’s offering a very lucrative promotion where you’ll have the opportunity to earn 50%-75% more MQMs, MQSs, MQDs on all flights. Additionally, for this year only Delta is making award travel eligible for MQMs, MQSs, MQDs earnings.
