Each week, we will be taking a look at a hotel or airline elite status level and the benefits that come with it and how to leverage earning the status.
So far we have looked at Hilton Gold, Hilton Diamond, Starwood Gold, Starwood Platinum, Hyatt Platinum, Hyatt Diamond, Marriott Silver, Marriott Gold, Marriott Platinum, Fairmont Premier, and Fairmont Platinum.
Overview of Omni Platinum Status
So for this week, we will be taking a look at Omni Platinum, which normally requires 10 nights per year.
How to Earn:
(1) 10 nights in a calendar year
Benefits of Omni Platinum Status
- Complimentary 3MB Wi-Fi Service
- Complimentary Pressings for 2 items
- Double night credit toward free nights
- Guaranteed Room Availability
- Room Upgrades at Check-In
- Local Market Amenity Night of Arrival
- Late Check-Out (up to 3pm)
Bottom Line
Omni Select Guest Platinum status offers some decent perks, such as the rooms upgrades at check-in, double night credit toward free nights, welcome amenity, and a 3pm check-out based on availability.
Granted these benefits aren’t stellar, but keep in mind this status is earned after only 10 nights, so you have to put that in perspective. Omni has a growing list of properties, so if you are thinking of staying with them consider going for Platinum status?
Are there any current Select Guest Platinum members? What are your thoughts of the program and the benefits?

This is an older article but I thought I’d chime in. Note that to get Platinum or Black status, you have to stay for 10 nights in a *calendar* year. That means on January 1 of each year, you reset back to Gold level, and do not get your upgraded status until you’ve achieved enough room nights in the *new* calendar year. This is how they enforce it, too. So the benefit is not much help if you achieve your 10th or 30th night in December. Happy to comment further if it is helpful.
