Delta has brought Big Sexy back. No, not the Justin Timberlake song, but the Boeing 747. Delta brought the large Boeing 747 double deck plane back to Atlanta for a specific reason.
The plane looked like engine work was being performed. Not sure if this is preventative maintenance or routine check, but if not, looks like the flight tomorrow may not be in great shape unless the engine work can be wrapped up.
This Delta 747 is back in Atlanta for direct flights to Tokyo.
I’ve always wanted to fly Delta’s 747. I’ve flown Air France’s 747 in the past, but never Delta’s, and now the option to fly it from Atlanta exists.
Do you have any plans to fly “Big Sexy” 747 anytime soon and with what carrier?

The TG 747 from BKK-SYD. Hopefully I don’t get TG-ed onto an older 747!
I’ve got a segment with a BA747 in my near future. To be honest, I would had preferred a 777, but hey – beggers can’t be choosers.
Lets just say some of the 747’s I’ve had the misfortune to fly on have had more speedtape on then than healthy….
I have a reservation on 25NOV ATL-LAX upstairs on the 747 – I think it is just a reposition of the aircraft after the holiday. should be fun!
Going on a 747 on Cathay from Bali to Hong Kong. Upper deck of course. Can’t really beat that.
I am very much looking forward to my trip in November from Seattle to Taipei in business elite. Seattle to Narita is on A330. Narita to Taipei is on 747. Never sat in the upper deck of 747 before. I am so excited!!!
I’m on the upper deck of a KLM 747 from AMS – SFO next April. It’s a first for me and I’m very excited! Love those mileage awards!
Rode a Delta B747-400 from Tokyo-Narita to Manila with their new cabins. It was awesome!
I’ll be flying Cathay #879 SFO – HKG on 30 Oct, connecting to Qantas #128 HKG – SYD on 31 Oct. Could be the last time I experience QF’s first class on a 747 – which is sad as it was always wonderful, and even better when seated at the window in row 1 or 3
I flew it a number of times when it was NWA’s B747 from NRT-HKG (econ) and NRT-MNL (Biz). I’m looking forward to flying it from SEA-NRT this June after it has received it’s updated cabin.
Also have flown the BA747 PEK-LHR and CX747 HKG-LHR. They are BEAUTIFUL planes!
