I usually travel with a briefcase mostly because I like them 🙂
I like having multiple compartments on the insides so I can organize the small things I might otherwise carry around in my pockets and an easy-to-remove slot for my laptop.
I carry a messenger-style bag that has plenty of storage and adequate space for my laptop. When looking for a work bag, I like those that have easily accessible compartments with multiple dividers as I like to keep my things organized.
A rollaboard – generally the smallest I can find. Durability is the key factor.
What kind of work bag do you travel with (backpack, briefcase, wheeling briefcase, other) and why?
A: I use a backpack because it’s a nice balance/hands free option especially if I have a long walk through a terminal.
What feature do you look for in a business bag?
A: Durability is key, but I also like comfortable to carry for long periods and professional styling.
I like to travel with a briefcase as it is comfortable, looks professional and I can rest it on top of my carry on when traveling.
In a briefcase I look for reliability and quality.
I have a large handbag that turns into a backpack that easily organised and a briefcase with heaps of pockets that also has a shoulder strap – “hands free” for boarding pass or martini! Never check a bag anymore. Organisation is necessary!
Filson computer bag. I look for padding and durability.
I travel with a messenger bag as it is less stress on the shoulder and easy to access moving through the airport. The key things I look for are lightweight and not a lot of extra space to store extra not needed items.
I travel with a Targus messenger bag. Its light, easy to carry and has lots of pocket to fit my cables, mouse, cards etc. Looking for something similar with lots of pockets, light and a separate pocket for the laptop.

Travel with a rolling computer bag. The most important factor for me is a LACK of a million compartments. The more zippers and compartments; the harder it is for me to find things !!
I use a rolling Samsonite bag. The feature I appreciate most is the padded compartment for my laptop.
Leather Messenger Bag. I looked for lots of pockets and dividers to keep everything straight!
Backpack computer bag. I look for comfort and accessibility.

I normally use a leather briefcase as my workbag. I like lightweight bags that are professional looking.
I travel with a messenger bag. I look for something slightly larger than my laptop and a notepad and also a bag that can slide onto the handle of my suitcase.
I use a briefcase style bag, and I need one with lots of room!

Mainly that it just holds up and holds what I require of it.

2. Want something that will secure nicely to my carryon (like a strap on the back), stylish, can take a beating, protects my laptop
I use a wheeling briefcase with room for my computer and other things, including spare clothes if an overnight only trip. This is so I have work related stuff I need plus room for personal items and electronics.
What I look for in a business bag is something convenient to travel with and lug (or roll ) around with space for documents and computer stuff (and with compartments to keep organized ).
I use a backpack to travel so both hands are normally free.
I like a bag that is lightweight and has lots of pockets.
I use a wheeled B&R backpack with a zip-off daypack. I keep looking to see whether they come up with an updated model.
