After our recent experience picking up Vanilla Reloads at the Long’s Drugs store in Oahu, I decided to take a closer look to see if there were any Long’s Drug stores here in the south. Come to find it, there are. And a lot of them!
As some of you have found out, you can buy Vanilla Reloadable cards to load onto your Bluebird® by American Express. It’s a great way to earn points on everyday spending.
Anyway, didn’t realize there were so many Long’s Drugs stores on the mainland. Will have to pay a visit to some of these stores and plan to report back soon…
Have any of you been to one of these stores? What did you think?
**Update: Apparently this is not the same Long’s as the one in Hawaii but it’s worth a try to see if they sell Vanilla Reloads here**

Are vanilla reload able the ONLY cards that work?
I’m quite sure those are two different companies…
Any gas stations chain that you are aware where you can purchase VR’s with a credit card? I’ve been looking high and low, especially given the Chase Freedom bonus category this quarter, but no success
Definitely not the same Long’s company as in HI. Hey, but maybe they sell VRs, too! 🙂
Yes, Long’s Hawaii is part of the same Long’s that used to be headquartered in California, and got bought out by CVS, and changed the name to CVS everywhere except Hawaii. That’s why they sell beans with credit card, because they are owned by CVS. Wouldn’t count on VR’s at this other Long’s.
