As part of the integration of Southwest Airlines® and AirTran® Airways, Rapid Rewards® will be the loyalty program of the combined airline effective November 2, 2014. When the A+ Rewards Program ends, your A+ Rewards information will be transferred to Rapid Rewards and your combined activity will be reflected in your Rapid Rewards account. To facilitate this process, we have identified a Rapid Rewards account that may be yours. Please verify your A+ Rewards account(s) and your Rapid Rewards account so we can link them together. This will help ensure your A+ Rewards Credits are accurately reflected in your Rapid Rewards account once the conversion begins on November 2. Plus, if you complete this verification by May 23, 2014, you’ll earn750 Rapid Rewards Bonus Points!

Please note we will operate two separate programs through November 1, so you will continue to earn A+ Rewards Credits for flights booked through AirTran and Rapid Rewards Points for flights booked through Southwest®. Any A+ Rewards Credits that haven’t expired as of November 1, 2014, will be converted into Rapid Rewards Points at 1,200 points per credit.

  1. Just registered an AirTran account. Will I receive an email from air tran to link account?

  2. Hey,
How long did it take for your to receive the points? I did it yesterday and the points have not posted.

  3. So I had an Airtran account I hadn’t used in a decade or so. I went through the “forgot my password” thing to get access again. However I never received this email from either Southwest or Airtran, so I don’t know where to go to link the accounts? Or maybe it’s targetted and doesn’t apply to people with inactive Airtran accounts?

  4. Just created an AirTran account to see if I would receive the e-mail, nothing so far. Will update if I do receive one.
