Last month we wrote about the Park Hyatt New York in our Is This The Most Expensive Hotel Room Ever? post which claims that each room at this new hotel cost over $2 million dollars to build.
Back when the hotel opened, there was no award availability, so I tried my luck again at every month and there is still no availability whatsoever to redeem with Hyatt Gold Passport points or Points + Cash from now until May 2015.
I have heard reports that there are a few days here and there that may have a room available on points, but if you are lucky enough to find one it will usually go quick.
If you want to stay here in the meantime, you will have to pay their nightly rates which start out at $875 per night. Hopefully in the future the hotel will release award space since I’d much use 30,000 Hyatt points then spend that much money.
Has anyone had the chance to stay here yet or have better ideas on how to stay here than paying almost $900 per night? Feel free to share below.

Didn’t Lucky get a AAA rate between $600-$700? I forget the exact price but he stayed there on the first night it opened last month.
