I’ll be the first to admit it’s hard to make up your mind which Hyatt is the best. There are so many good Hyatt properties and so many that do breakfast well in their own way. For example, the formal Breakfast At The Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt Buenos Aires is almost an event. There is no more iconic place to eat breakfast in my opinion than with a view of the Sydney Opera house in the background.

The outdoor breakfast at the Hyatt Clearwater has a nice breeze, and the views from the Park Hyatt Tokyo are hard to beat over breakfast. And how can you forget about the gooey homemade jelly donuts at the Hyatt 48 Lex in New York?

But I’ve come around, and have to agree with a fellow blogger over at View From The Wing that there is one Hyatt Breakfast Option that tops them all.

Andaz Lemon Poppy Seed Pancakes

The Andaz offers their Diamond Elite member guests up to $75 per day for breakfast credited to their account. You can take the breakfast in the restaurant or order room service as I did on this trip.

I ordered the breakfast to arrive at 5:30 AM before the official time that breakfast opens up. And right one time the warm cake from a pan with lemons and poppy seeds arrived along with the side distractions.

I absolutely had to order the peeled grapefruit. Just love how it comes with absolutely no skin and is so juicy.

But the main event was for sure the lemon poppy seed pancake. I doused the pancake in syrup and enjoyed every bit of it. The cake comes with powdered sugar hints, lemon on top and of course poppy seeds throughout. A delicious breakfast, and the best part, as a Hyatt Diamond member it was complimentary.

Bottom Line

The bottom line is that being a Hyatt Diamond member you’ll be treated to complimentary breakfast, and a good one at that. But if you find yourself at the Andaz 5th Ave in New York, be sure to try out the Lemon Poppy Seed Pancakes because I believe they are the best breakfast option at any Hyatt. Am I going wrong here?
