Delta just announced that on the Delta West Coast Shuttle between Los Angeles and San Francisco, they will add a mixture of 717’s into this route, which means several of the 15 daily flights will now be served by mainline aircraft.
Currently on the East Coast, Delta’s New York to Boston shuttle route is served by the Boeing 717 also.

Bottom Line
If you’re flying between Los Angeles and San Francisco anytime soon, consider checking out the new Delta West Coast Shuttle on the Boeing 717.
I am so grateful for Delta Shuttle. I’m a Delta flyer anyway, but having the hourly departures during the week makes life great. I have to fly LAX-SFO for work a lot…a lot, a lot. Having all of those frequencies, pretty much always getting the upgrade (PM), and now with Delta Studio I just whip out my iPad and watch a couple TV shows…you can’t beat it. The Luvo vegetable things are perfect. Now, if SFO could just stop forcing the flights into 50 minute holding patterns because of fog, that would be the icing on the cake.
