Yesterday, we reported how American Airlines and United were running cheap fares between Miami-Chicago for $36 and we’ve also seen Philadelphia and Las Vegas for $36 each-way. Well, it looks like American Airlines is now some more specials on flights from Los Angeles to Chicago (ORD) and more starting at $40 (including taxes and fees) each-way.
You can search for these cheap flights on Orbitz or on the American site, which is available primarily in September, those some routes are offering sales in October and November as well.

Bottom Line:
This is a great deal if you’re looking for flights between Los Angeles and Chicago. With a total fare of $40 including taxes and fees, it’s really hard to beat this.
Though not as lucrative as some as these deals have been for miles, this is still a decent way to rack up some elite-qualifying miles, you might want to consider these domestic trips for mileage runs as well.
