Did you know that Delta Offers Over 30 Craft Beers? I received an email from one of my Delta contacts who shared with me this cool graphic showing the 26 craft beers that Delta has added to it’s Sky Club’s lately and where they come from. Back in 2014 Delta started adding craft beers aboard some flights, now they have increased the selection quite a bit! Now, if you read this blog often, you know what I think is the best drink in the sky. But, I’ve been know to order a craft beer from time to time and now that I know how the big the selection is getting I’ll be sure to try more!

According to Delta’s News Room,

In 2014, Delta became one of the first carriers to work with craft breweries across the country to serve a selection of beers from locally-known brands as part of its overall investment in the customer experience.

“Delta is passionate about supporting local breweries from coast-to-coast, and giving our customers a selection of regional craft beers to bring local options to our customers at 35,000 feet,†said Robyn Klein, Managing Director – On-Board Services. “We are focused on bringing regional food, wine and beer to the in-flight experience.â€

Beer from Ballast Point Brewing Company (San Diego), Blue Point Brewing Company (Long Island, N.Y.), Brooklyn Brewery (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Lagunitas Brewing Company (Petaluma, Calif.),Newburyport Brewing Company (Newburyport, Mass.), Samuel Adams (Boston), Stone Brewing Company (Escondido, Calif.) and SweetWater Brewery (Atlanta) are served on board to give customers on routes within the U.S. a craft beer option.

The selection of regional craft beers are available on

  • Delta’s West Coast Shuttle between Los Angeles and San Francisco;
  • between New York-LaGuardia and Boston,
  • Washington-Regan National and Chicago-O’Hare;
  • on Delta’s transcontinental routes between New York-JFK and Los Angeles,
  • San Francisco and Seattle;
  • and on flights between Atlanta and New York-LaGuardia,
  • Washington-Reagan National and Dulles,
  • Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Tampa and New Orleans.
  • Samuel Adams is available on all other domestic routes in the U.S.

Get access to Delta Sky Clubs

There are many credit cards which provide access to the Delta SkyClubs. As reminder both the American Express Platinum Card, as well as the Business Platinum Card from American Express OPEN provide complimentary SkyClub access.

Bottom Line 

So far, Delta offers about 30 different beers in 35 Sky Clubs and onboard select flights. I know that I love tasting beers from various markets and the best part is that it’s complimentary for Club members! Which of these craft beers are you most excited to try at 35,000 feet?

  1. Is Delta actually serving these complimentary in their skyclubs? The last time I was in a sky club only low end beer was complimentary and they were really trying to up sell you on all drinks. Admittedly it’s been a couple years…
