OMFG!?! Is This The Most Annoying Uber Ride Ever?

Imagine taking an Uber ride for 30 minutes and from the moment you get in the car the driver is yelling on the phone in a very heated conversation, which is on speaker phone for the entire time. This isn’t the first time we’ve had a bad experience. You’ll recall Subjected to Religious Preaching During Recent Uber Ride.

It’s as if the driver was having a personal conversation and didn’t want to be bothered by the actual job of having to drive someone. Here’s a “short” clip of 5 minutes of the ride, however it goes on the entire ride.

I finally arrived to my destination with a headache to say the least after 30 minutes of this…

If anyone speaks Spanish, feel free to translate what this conversation is about?

Have you ever had an Uber drive talk/yell on the phone the ENTIRE ride? If so, how did you handle the situation. Did you ask them not to talk or did you just put in your headphones and try to ignore it?

  1. Be happy that you don’t usderstand Spanish. You don’t even want to understand that crap. What city was this?

  2. Two weeks ago, I called for an Uber pickup from the airport at 11PM after 20 hours travel for my son and me. The driver tried to avoid paying the $5 to use designated ride share app lane (already added to our fare BTW) and was caught by airport police. They knew this driver from before as we could tell from the argument that ensued when they told him there would be a $50 fine if he picked us up. The driver aggressively insisted that I pay the fine and when I refused he drove off abandoning us at midnight. We were charged for “cancelling” the ride. Five emails expressing our concern and dismay and all we get is “We offer as compensation to refund your fare and we are still investigating this situation” Crickets …

  3. I would of changed destination and just got out and got another and rated 1 star and the top would be shut up!

  4. “Ma’am, Can I ask you for a favour? I have a headache, do you mind using headphones or talk later after dropping me off?”

Uber drivers make less than minimum wage after taking into account the cost of fuel etc, so little bit of empathy might make this world a better place.
