The Eliza Jane Hotel is one of Hyatt’s newer hotels in New Orleans, and falls under their Unbound Collection brand. The 196 room hotel is located a couple blocks from the French Quarter on Magazine Street. It’s a World of Hyatt category 4 meaning free nights start at 15,000 points per night or you can use your anniversary nights from the World of Hyatt credit card here.

Upon arrival, I was welcomed as a Globalist by the friendly front office staff who checked me in and informed me that I had been proactivley upgraded to a one-bedroom Magazine view suite.

Overall I was very pleased with the Eliza Jane, and likely would stay here again on a future visit. The property is brand new and the service for the post part was great, with the exception of housekeeping now servicing our room one day.

For those looking to visit New Orleans, this hotel about two blocks from the French Quarter, making it an ideal location since you’re close enough to the action without being right in the heart of it.

As a World of Hyatt Globalist member, I was proactively upgraded at check-in to a one bedroom Magazine View Suite as well as informed that breakfast would be complimentary in Couvant, the hotel’s main restaurant.

The hotel has a nice size gym on the lobby level with a good amount of equipment if you’re looking to get in a workout during your stay.

  1. I stayed there over labor day weekend. As discoverist I was upgraded to an interior view suite.

My only complaint was inconsistency of housekeeping. One day we got a full refill on conditioner, but no shampoo or soap. Just 3 bottles of conditioner. On another, they forgot to refill the coffee.

Small details, that I’m sure are being worked out. Would definitely stay there again, though. Great location!
