Per this Flyertalk thread, it appears that cardholders of the American Express Platinum card, no longer need to provide their physical credit card when entering Delta Sky Clubs, so long as the card is added to their wallet on their SkyMiles account.
Previously, cardholders would be required to present the physical card which would be swiped upon check-in, in addition to a Delta boarding pass, but based on recent reports it appear that this is no longer the case.
If you’re an American Express Platinum cardholder, and wish to add this card to your SkyMiles account, you can easily do so by logging in to Delta.com, and heading to “My Wallet” where you’ll then add your card to your stored payments.
With this trick, you should then be able to access Delta Sky Clubs, with no longer presenting your physical American Express Platinum card, similar to how Sky Club members no longer need to present their card, as long as the information can be retrieved from your boarding pass.
Has any American Express Platinum cardholders visited a Sky Club recently? Feel free to comment below on if you were able to access the club without a physical swipe of your card.
