As this is a World of Hyatt category 5 property, if you wanted to redeem points, it would be at a rate of 20,000 World of Hyatt points per night for either 1 King Bed or 2 Double Beds.

Alternatively, you choose the Points + Cash tab, and see that you could redeem for 10,000 points plus $180 per night if you were to go this route. a screenshot of a hotel room

Bottom Line:

When redeeming World of Hyatt points for free night awards, always be sure to check the paid rate vs. the points option to make sure you’re getting a good deal. The same is true when looking at the Points + Cash option.

There’s some tremendous value to be had with redeeming World of Hyatt points at high end properties such as the Park Hyatt Maldives, Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, and the Andaz Maui at Wailea.

  1. To get 20,000 points on your World of Hyatt account you have to spend $8,000 to rack up those points, so , compared to the $306 cash room only rate……it means you are being charged $8,000 for one night…….interesting Formulae…….
