Flight Review: Delta One Business Class JFK – Amsterdam

Amsterdam is Delta’s largest hub in Europe, so I was excited to finally fly here from New York’s John F. Kennedy this summer. Delta offers 2 daily flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy and Amsterdam complementing KLM’s three daily flights. Additionally, Norwegian Air Shuttle also offers service as well.

This flight was operated on an A330-300 with 34 Delta One Business Class seats in a 1×2×1 configuration, meaning that every seat in business class offers direct aisle access. In the Main Cabin, there’s 219 seats and in Comfort + 40 seats. Delta One passengers on transatlantic flights receive complimentary access to the Delta Sky Club.

For the starters, there was burrata and prosciutto, caesar salad, and a fire roasted tomato soup with chili lime, along with pretzel bread.

Delta now allows you to pre-order your main entree in advance. I opted for the braised short rib which was served with mascarpone polenta, pepperonata, haricot verts, and black pepper jus

a bowl of ice cream with a spoon

Dessert on the flight was a sundae bar which was vanilla-peach ice cream topped with bourbon-maple caramel sauce.

For breakfast, Delta One passengers were served a smoked gouda frittata with potatoes and chicken sausage.

Overall, I was very pleased with the flight with the Delta One cabin and service. It’s a quick 6 hours from New York to Amsterdam, and the service was attentive throughout.
