American Airlines has launched its latest promotion where American AAdvantage members can earn double miles on new bookings through September 30, 2020. You’ll earn up 10,000 bonus miles for each booking you make by June 30th for travel by September 30, 2020.
This offer is more lucrative than last month’s Earn 500 Bonus American AAdvantage Miles on New Bookings. To sign up, head over to American’s promotion page, which will require you first to login to your AAdvantage account and then you can register.
Here’s how to earn double miles:
- Register for this promotion before booking and paying for your flight
- Book by June 30, 2020, for travel between June 1 – September 30, 2020
- Earn double miles after completing each eligible flight, up to 10,000 total bonus miles

It’s great to see American offer its latest promotion for those who are looking to travel this summer. I believe the rest of the year we will see many lucrative promotions offered by both airlines and hotels as travel slowing starts to pick up.
Who’s next to offer a similar promotion? I think United could have something it the works. For context, Alaska Airlines was previously offering 50% more elite-qualifying Mileage Plan on flights last month.
Terms and Conditions:
- This offer is available to all AAdvantage® members
- You must register by 11:59 p.m. CT on June 30, 2020, and before booking and travel in order for your flights to count toward this promotion
- Eligible flights must be both marketed by American Airlines and operated by American or American Eagle®, booked in any purchased fare, and ticketed by June 30, 2020
- Flights booked with miles as the form of payment aren’t eligible for this promotion
- Travel booked or canceled and re-booked after June 30, 2020, isn’t eligible to earn bonus miles
- You can make changes to your travel under the original booking (record locator) after June 30, 2020, and remain eligible for this promotion
- Eligible flights must be flown between June 1, 2020, and September 30, 2020
- Flights marketed and/or operated by other codeshare partners aren’t eligible
- You’ll earn double bonus award miles for each eligible flight once it posts to your account
- You can earn up to 10,000 total bonus award miles for this promotion
- Bonus miles don’t count toward elite status qualification or AAdvantage® Million Miler℠status
- Miles are subject to the standard AAdvantage® program terms and conditions
