It’s being reported by many World of Hyatt Globalist members that Hyatt is giving out World of Hyatt points for expiring Club Access awards. After 30 nights with Hyatt, you earn 2 Club Access Awards, and after 60 nights you earn another 2 each year.a table with food on it

A Globalist who earned 60 nights, would earn 4 Club Access Awards. However, given the pandemic, many club lounges remain closed. Effective December 22, 2021, World of Hyatt is allowing Globalists to receive points for any unused Club Access Awards expiring on December 31, 2021.

I decided to try my luck and call the World of Hyatt Globalist line as I have 4 Club Access Awards expiring on December 31, 2021.

The agent who answered the phone knew exactly what I was talking about and after a few minutes, she let me know that she was able to give me 500 bonus points for each one for a total of 2,000 World of Hyatt points.

The bonus points for the Club Access Awards posted immediately to my World of Hyatt amount.

Per a Hyatt spokesperson,

At this time, we do not have plans to remove expiration dates from awards, and true to understanding and care, we will continue to listen to member feedback to evaluate ways to flex the program. World of Hyatt has a history of providing flexibility for members who have experienced hardships, and we will continue to extend care for members as global recovery evolves.

It’s great to see World of Hyatt offering bonus points for expiring Club Access Awards for Globalist members. Club Access Awards are an unused benefit for Globalists considering they already receive club lounge access as a benefit.

Are you a World of Hyatt Globalist member with unused Club Access Awards? If so, you’ll want to reach out to World of Hyatt to convert them to at least receive some bonus Hyatt points. Feel free to report your experiences below.

  1. The expiration dates on all four of mine were pushed to Feb 2023. I wonder why yours weren’t.

  2. I just did an on-line chat with a Hyatt agent. She agreed to credit me 12,000 points for my expiring 4 awards (I’m explorist) and I was grateful. The points have posted!

  3. I called the Hyatt Globalist line yesterday and managed to get 3,000 points for my 4 club upgrade awards.

I asked about converting my suite upgrade award as well and was put on hold as the representative contacted the right department on my behalf. Was then given an extension to Feb 2024 for my suite upgrade award – more than fair if you ask me
