Delta recently opened its brand new Delta Sky Club at New York’s John F. Kennedy (JFK) airport. This marks the airlines second Sky Club at JFK, with the latest being located in Concourse A near Gate A7.
The new lounge is open daily from 5:00am to 10:30pm and has seating for 250 guests, which should help with Delta’s overcrowding of Sky Clubs the airline currently faces system wide.
Per Delta,
The nearly 14,000-square-foot Club, which seats more than 250 guests and includes a covered Sky Deck, will operate alongside the Club on Terminal 4, Concourse B. Together the two Clubs will have capacity for over 800 guests simultaneously at JFK.
In terms of food and drinks in the lounge, you’ll find local additions including from Elyssa Heller out of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
As part of Delta Sky Club’s commitment to highlighting local, emerging chefs through its Local Flavor program, the JFK T4-A Club will feature the work of Elyssa Heller, founder and CEO of Edith’s Eatery & Grocery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Guests of the T4-A Club can enjoy Elyssa’s takes on Jewish deli staples like brisket hash sandwich, vegetarian latkes and labneh parfait, topping off with a taste of Edith’s famous vegan Iced Café Slushie (cold brew, tahini, oat milk and simple syrup). Elyssa’s recipes will be featured in the Club through the end of September. Â
Other highlights of the lounge include a fireplace lounge as well as year-round outdoor Sky Deck in addition to the lounge’s 360- degree bar in the center.
Delta is also slated to open a Delta One lounge at JFK next year, exclusive to Delta One passengers.
This new lounge is one of Eight New Delta Sky Clubs and Expansions Planned for 2023Â as the airline continues to grow its Sky Club network.
Earlier this year, Delta announced New Delta Sky Club Access Changes to help reduce over-crowding, a problem that many travelers have been facing.
