Beers Of Belgium
We enjoyed a number of the best beers in Belgium on tap including:
We couldn’t drink all these beers and not wash them down with some healthy local dishes.
Bottom Line
It’s five o’clock somewhere, hope you can enjoy a beer as much as we enjoyed these ones.

I strongly recommend Barbãr and Kwak
Zz – Looks like I missed those two, along with a few others. Belgium was the first place I had a lemon put in my beer. Interesting for sure.
Grimbergen is my favorite belgian abbey beer. Did you try both the blonde and the brown?
Hi Truthiness – Ah yes, Grimbergen is tasty. The brown is almost a meal itself, yes, but we only snapped the blond picture above. Any other favorites that I didn’t show?
Ah yes, Chimay…my all time favorite. Looking forward to trying some of these others on our upcoming trip to BRU!
Kwak served in the traditional glass (basically a chemistry beaker) is a real Belgian treat. Especially when the bartender takes your shoe to ensure they get their glass back!
Is that the rabbit stew? Duvel is my personal favorite. I did have a chance to taste Kwak, lovely beer, didn’t get served in the traditional glass though. Here are some pictures from last trip in May (ATL-BRU):

Grimbergen, Leffe, and Mort Subite (This was a cafe in Maastrict, NL, an hour away from Liege, Belgium)

I’m from Belgium and I also recommend these Belgium beers: Karmeliet, La Chouffe, Westvleteren (this one is probably not available because you can only buy this one in the brewer-abbey itself, and there is a limit and waitinglist)
If you’re ever back in Belgium you should visit the Delirium cafe in Brussels, they serve over 2000 beers!
As a girl, I like the fruit-beers like Kriek Lindemans, Kriek Mort Subite, Framboise, Hoegaarde Rosé etc..
Hi Lauwchen – Next time I’m in Brussels, I’ll mark down some time to visit the house of beers (Delirium Cafe), and I assure you, I won’t be caught ordering a Sam Adams 🙂
Hi Zeke – It was actually the best beef stew I’ve ever had. Seriously!
Chimay blue is fantastic!
