The new Air France Promo awards are out. With the latest promo awards, you can get deeply discounted Economy Class and Premium Economy Class award tickets to Europe. If you don’t already know, Air France releases promo awards which are heavily discounted, up to 50%, awards between destinations.

The latest promotional offer only requires 12,500 Air France miles plus taxes for a one-way Economy Class flight from Detroit, 25,000 miles for a one-way Economy Class flight from Washington D.C., and 18,750 Air France miles plus taxes for a one-way Economy Class flight from New York JFK and Mexico City. These awards can be booked to go all the way to Casablanca, Istanbul, Moscow, Athens, or Tel Aviv for the same price. That’s a pretty amazing deal for such a low level of miles. In fact, you can go just about anywhere on the map below for that price and even a few places that aren’t showing on the map.

New York JFK / Mexico City To Paris and Beyond

The Flying Blue (Air France / KLM / Air Europa) loyalty program offers heavily discounted Flying Blue awards called Promo Awards for certain routes throughout the year.

The current discounted promo awards from North America must be booked between September 1, 2014 through September 30, 2014 for travel between November 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014.

Terms And Conditions

  • Reservations must be made exclusively on airfrance or klm (except for bookings for children, infants and minors, who are not authorised to book an award on the website).
  • In the event that a technical problem occurs when reserving the promotional fare or if the reservation cannot be finalised, the Flying Blue member must log on to the site and repeat the procedure.
  • This award ticket may be used on connecting flights within Europe and on connecting flights from Europe to long-haul flights and vice-versa.
  • These promotional Promo Award@ may not be modified, cancelled or refunded.
  • Promo Award@ are available for one-way tickets and round trips.
  • Flex Award are not included in the Promo Award@ offer.

How To Get And Transfer Points To Flying Blue Account

Starwood Starpoints transfer to Flying Blue (Air France) at a 1:1 ratio. But if you transfer only 20,000 points, you’ll get a 25% bonus for a total of 25,000 Flying Blue miles.

Bottom Line

There is some good availability between Detroit, Washington D.C, New York and Mexico City and Europe. This is a good deal especially since it includes dates around the holidays and New Years Eve.

  1. Have you seen any rhyme or reason to figure out which European cities can and cannot be booked for the 12,500 miles?

    For example I’d expect DTW-EDI to be 12,500, but it comes in at 22,500 (11/13 as an example date). Even though both flights (DTW-CDG and CDG-EDI) are on Air France metal.

    I can get DTW-IST to price at 12,500 though
