  1. I have never tried hard side luggage but that front opening feature looks awesome!!!

  2. i have never owned a hard sided luggage. looks super heavy duty!

I think the best feature for frequent travelers is the lifetime warranty as i have had a few luggages fail in one way or other.

  3. I never had one but the easy side opening for in the baggage compartment seems great.

  4. 1. Never had a hard sided bag
    2. The best feature is the front compartment to store ipad or an ultrabook for quick access and that it can flush with the bag

  5. 1- Never had a hard-sided bag
2- I think the TORQ™ flat packing surface would be very helpful to frequent travelers since it maximizes the packing capacity of the bag.

  6. Never ued a hard cover bag I suspect that I would enjoy the front loading easy access compartment feature the best for qucik access to “need to get” items.

  7. 1. Never had a hard sided bag.
    2. I really like the zipper-less front side compartment, which would be very useful for when you need to quickly retrieve something – particularly when the bag is still in the overhead bin.

  8. 1. I have never had a hard sided bag.
    2. The front section with easy access to a notebook looks extremely useful.

  9. -No haven’t had a hardside bag
-I like the 80/20 front lid also. I would hope its like my B&R Fuse bag (which I LOVE!) for one bagging with a laptop.

  10. Never had a hard-sided bag … the easy-open outside compartment would be ideal for storing technology I wanted to use in-flight.

  11. I have had a hard sided bag and find that it protects fragile items well.

The fold out front pocket is brilliant and fixes the main downside of hardsided luggage–no outer pockets.

  12. Never had a hard-sided bag…but they have clear advantages. I think the good wheels are definitely a key feature…always seem to be the first to fail on my luggage

  13. 1. I have a hard side carryon now.
    2. I like the front pocket. I miss the front pocket as my current version did not come with that option.

  14. 1. I have never had a hardshell bag before.

    2. I like the fact that its hard sided and still an 80/20 opening.

  15. I have never had a hard sided travel bag.

I think the iPad slot as shown in the picture above is most useful. The ease of getting to your iPad while in your seat, or waiting in the terminal, or in the backseat of a cab is great, especially when you don’t want to lug around a separate briefcase or bag with your iPad and documents.

  16. Have not had one yet !! , That is until I win this one !!!
The one touch , great for I pad access , less time in the aisle !!

  17. I’ve never owned one because of not having an outside pocket, but have always been intrigued by their sleekness.

The outside compartment is a great feature and will be very useful for all the things one needs at hand without having to open the whole suitcase. Electronic devices, toiletries, etc.

  18. 1.)I had a hard sided suitcase in the 70’s if an old Samsonite counts!
2.)I like the top & side handles. In my travels there is not always a smooth surface to pull my suitcase.

  19. I have never owned a hard sided bag, but would love to try one. The exterior “pocket” type compartment sounds like an excellent feature that will make it much more convenient to use the bag.

  20. 1. Had a huge hard-sided suitcase in the early 90s, but it encouraged overpacking and warped the frame.

    2. Love the lightweight materials.

  21. I love B&R and my current case is the international wide body carryon which I think is the best case that I have used to date. Over the years, I have always used a hard sided “large” suitcase (non-carryon) and it has worked well but I am finding that my “style” has changed and I am no longer a big packer so I seldom take other than my carryon even for an international trip.

I think the best feature on any B&R is the great warranty/customer service but what is really cool on the TORQ is the flexible middle layer that keeps it from cracking. What good is a suitcase in a far away place if it falls apart?

  22. 1. I had a Samsonite hard-sided bag that I used in the 90’s
    2. I like the front, secured pocket.

  23. I’ve never had a hard sided bag, but it seems to me like the best quality about the TORQ is the quick access front pocket.

  24. I’ve never had a hard-sided bag, but I’ve finally decided that the floating four-wheel action is really every bit as cool (and useful) as it looks. So that would be my vote for most valuable feature in today’s entry.

  25. 1) Have you ever had a hard-sided travel bag? No.

    2) What TORQ™ feature do you think is most helpful to the frequent traveler and why? For me it’s the ipad sleeve!

  26. I’ve never used a hard-sided carry on bag before.

I like that the lockable hardside front compartment sits flush with the bag when closed.

  27. I’ve never had a hard-dided travel bay, but I think the most helpful feature is the lockable frontside compartment.

  28. I’ve never had a hard-sided travel bag, although I’ve often wondered if they’re as amazing as everyone says they are! My favorite feature of the TORQ is the front exterior compartment, as the lack of one is a huge reason I haven’t purchased a hard-sided bag before. It will definitely be useful when traveling!

  29. 1. yes, I’ve had and currently use a hard sided bag.
    2. The front compartment looks most useful as it gives you quick access to your most frequently used items.

  30. i have not had a hard travel case yet and i like the control panel on this product

  31. I have never had a hard sided carry-on. I think the easy access front pocket looks like it would be the best feature.

  32. Have you ever had a hard-sided travel bag?
    No

What TORQ™ feature do you think is most helpful to the frequent traveler and why?
polycarbonate material because its durable and lightweight

  33. I have never owned a hard-sided travel bag. I like a few features such as the molded compression panel that keeps clothing flat to prevent wrinkling and contents from shifting;the bag fits easily into the overhead compartment; and most importantly the lifetime warranty.

  34. Never had a hard shell, but I imagine it’s better when wielded as a weapon than traditional soft luggage.

  35. 1/ I have not had hard cover suitcases since Samsonite days of the 70s. I thought they were too heavy at the time

2/ I have recently travelled with a friend who owns the Briggs & Riley Torq bag and thought the wheelbase was solid and flexible making it very easy to roll the bag. Plus, it looks awesome!

  36. Have you ever had a hard-sided travel bag?
    No

What TORQ™ feature do you think is most helpful to the frequent traveler and why?
The hard shell looks like it will protect my stuff better than my current bag

  37. I’ve never had a hard-sided bag, always used soft.

The expandability, I always find that useful.

  38. Never had a hard sided bag. This may be the answer to my wishes, having the pocket on the outside. Hope I win!

  39. 1. I have never had a hard side bag but I sure like the idea. Sounds useful.
    2. I like the wide base, tilt-resistant recessed spinner wheels since it would give me the flexibility to use two or four wheels when rolling.

  40. I have never owned a hard-sided travel bag (alas).

I like the molded compression panel that keeps clothing flat to prevent wrinkling – great when traveling on bizness.

I also like that it’s a spinner. Never had one of them either

  41. 1. Never had a hard side bag
    2. Like the front pocket for quick access to my newspapers and iPad.

  42. No, I have never owned a hard-sided bag before.

I think the flip open top would be extremely beneficial for grabbing things quickly, and locking them away at other times.

  43. I have never had a bag like this – no hard sides ever! Outside of the snazzy colors that would help me pick out my bag easily (if checked), I like the locking features.
