Delta just sent out this email to their Medallion members reminding them of their new signature cocktails which all have names based on their Medallion levels. These are available complimentary in First and Business Class, and sell for $8 in economy. Delta Medallion drinks   Now you can meet the four limited-edition cocktails in our video series. Watch by clicking the video links. You’ll also find these cocktails in flight for $8. Blue Diamond  1 part Bombay Sapphire Dry Gin, 3 parts Seagram’s Tonic Water, splash of Minute Maid Apple Juice, served over ice. Platinum Takeoff 1 part Woodford Reserve Bourbon, 3 parts Minute Maid Cranberry Apple Juice, served over ice. Gold Status Symbol 1 part Jack Daniel’s & Tennessee Whiskey, 3 parts Sprite, served over ice, garnished with lime wedge. Silver Horizon 1 part Avión Silver Tequila, 3 parts Fresca, served over ice, garnished with lime wedge. Have you had a chance to try any of these yet?

  1. @DeltaPoints you are right, I noticed that, too. One ($1) more reason to train myself to enjoy cocktails on int’l legs (when sitting in EC) instead of on domestic legs.
    My last trip to the States was in early May and I tried the Silver Horizon. FAs didn’t know what I was talking about. So I had to recall it from memory what I had read in my medallion kit that had arrived just a few weeks earlier.
    Kinda interesting, that Delta sends out information to their Medallion members but don’t inform their own staff about the changes. It’s one thing if FA doesn’t have the right mixture in their head at the moment. I understand that and usually help them out when ordering my favorite, the Sky Breeze. But they all hadn’t heard of the new signature cocktails at all (well, at least all those working economy on that flight).
    Anyway, for me the Sky Breeze tastes better than the Silver Horizon, but that’s me 😉
    Maybe I try the Platinum Takeoff next time. Or is that too demanding for a lowly FO? 😉
