On this particular flight last week, I took off back to Atlanta in my Delta First class seat and had clear skies for as far as the eye could see.
I was offered the dumpling dinner; which is one of the newer dinners. I haven’t had this one before so I had to try it. I wasn’t really sure what to expect; it’s just not something I would have expected on a Delta flight. It’s certainly tasty and I would order again. The entree came with dumplings, shrimp and bok choy. The sides are great including a nice little salad and the usual piece of chocolate cake, which is just enough to get your sweet fix.
Delta First Class Dumpling Dinner
Dinner
I liked it. Dumplings, shrimp and bok choy with side salad and chocolate cake.Â
Sunset
Skies were clear this evening and I caught a nice sunset on my way home.
Bottom Line
If you haven’t tried Delta’s First Class dumpling dinner; give it a try! I wasn’t sure what to expect but, was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Have you tried this meal, what did you think?

The meal looks fantastic. Though my stomach may need 10+ dumplings to be fully satisfied.
Agree. that’s a meal for my 7 year old daughter. 😀
what flights have the dumplings!!!
I’ll take a pass. I’ve never tried requesting a special meal on domestic first-class flights. Can you do this? I wonder what other options would be. Was there a second choice?
Hi FNT, There was another choice, but I was sold on the dumplings so I don’t recall what it was right now. I think that your question bout special meals is really interesting and I will work up a post about that in the coming days. Thanks!
Good point, Harold but the shrimp helps fill you up a little more:)
OK…I’m the odd one out. that isn’t what I was expected. The “dumplings” that I was thinking of were more like chicken and dumplings. To me, those are more pot stickers. Just a product of where I live in the country.
