There is one milestone that matters to every frequent business traveler who stays in SPG hotels, that is the SPG Platinum Benefits at 50 nights. The benefits you gain access to once you hit 50 nights staying in Starwood Preferred Guest hotels can be rewarding. I recently hit this milestone and was able to select from several great benefits outlined below.

SPG Platinum Benefits at 50 Nights

You are rewarded with staying 50 nights in SPG hotels beyond just Platinum status that comes with 25 stays or 50 nights. I normally earn platinum status through stays, but still go for the 50 nights due to the increased benefits including the ability to choose from:

• 10 suite night awards
• Gifting Gold Status to a friend
• $100 SPG Donation to UNICEF
• $100 Amazon gift code
• $85 TSA Pre Application Fee credit
• 4 Uber rides for $25 value each

My favorite benefit is definitely the 10 suite night awards. These are essentially upgrade certificates that you can apply to your reservation. The upgrade doesn’t get confirmed at the time of booking, like you would get with Hyatt’s Diamond Status Suite upgrades, but it’s certainly useful. The hotels basically wait until 5 days out and then upgrade reservations based on availability.
