Around Thanksgiving, we posted about the opportunity to request status match from Hilton. I submitted my request right away showing both my Hyatt Diamond (earned the hard way) and SPG Platinum status as well as my stay pattern. It took a while (nearly a week) but, Hilton has confirmed me to Hilton Diamond Status!
Success With Hilton Status Match
Diamond Status
Earning HHonors Diamond status isn’t easy. To earn the status, you need to do the following:
(1) 30 stays in a calendar year, or
(2) 60 nights in a calendar year, or
(3) 120,000 HHonors Base Points in a calendar year

Bottom Line
I’m pretty happy with my new, easily earned Hilton Diamond Status. I might even look to start staying with them more often. I am especially impressed that the status is good through March, 2017; no complaints here. Have you heard back from Hilton your status match?

I made a request over Thanksgiving weekend and was granted Diamond status on the following Wednesday. I am Platinum with both Starwood and Marriott.
Hello from Grenada…Both Wife & I received Hyatt Diamond & Hilton Diamond through these status match offers. We have 9 days @ the Hilton, Aruba over Prez week 2016 where the Hilton Diamond will be of great value.

I had Gold with Hilton because of Amex. I had almost enough to earn it with stays.
Wife and I both got matched even though I didn’t even apply… Just sent her match request through my email. Whatever, I’ll take it 🙂
I first was able to talk my way into the Hyatt status match when they were only going to give me platinum. I only had Hilton, SPG and Marriott Gold. I then used my new Hyatt Diamond status to get my Hilton to Diamond. All in all, well worth the two extra messages I sent.
