It’s no secret that Delta has removed their award charts. But what’s a secret is what they plan to do about their award tiers and redemption rates in the future. And this has a lot of people nervous. So nervous I know people who are emptying their Sky Miles award balances through any means possible. And this is making it harder to find lower level award redemption for coveted award flights in premium cabin.
We understand all this and wanted to give our readers a break. So we teamed up with our favorite award booking service, Juicy Miles, to giveaway a complimentary award booking service.
Free Award Booking Giveaway
We are giving away 1 complimentary award booking from Juicy Miles. The best part is the award booking is good for up to 4 passengers traveling on the same itinerary. This covers Juicy Miles award booking fees only and does not cover airline fees and taxes (responsibility of the winner). We’ll randomly pick a winner on Sunday, February 22nd who will receive the complimentary award booking.

What Is Juicy Miles
Preferred Award Booking Service – Juicy Miles
Juicy Miles is a top notch award booking service. They will do all the work to find you the best award itinerary for your preferences.
I’ve known Adam for a long time and have trusted him with all of my referrals. He has assembled and runs an amazing team at Juicy Miles.
Adam is the proud founder of Juicy Miles LLC and loves helping others travel for free. His obsession with points and miles began during his freshman year at college. After browsing Flyertalk and Mileage Workshop, Adam pulled the trigger and signed up for his first Citibank AAdvantage credit card and MCI phone line (25,000 mileage offer). Back then, both deals were churnable and in no time at all, the college freshman had enough miles to travel to Europe and Asia in First Class for free, multiple times. Needless to say, he was hooked! Fast forward a few years and Adam of course ended up in a job with a travel requirement…which meant extra miles for awards! He continued educating himself on the mileage game and took some pretty incredible trips each year, including a family vacation every December…all with miles. As his colleagues and friends started to hear about and see pictures from his trips, they wanted in and Adam began to assist them with their bookings, Juicy Miles was born. Adam is also the author of the Point Me to the Plane blog on BoardingArea. Adam’s favorite award trips from 2013 include his Singapore / Cathay Pacific First Class trip to Bali, Thailand, and Hong Kong as well as his First Class Emirates Shower Suite A380 experience to the Maldives. Adam covers AA / oneworld, UA / Star Alliance, and Delta / SkyTeam bookings.

I will redeem my Skypesos on a domestic trip for my family; if I can find award space going anywhere near Glacier or Yellowstone National Parks. No, it was a crass effort to make award booking even more difficult on Delta.
I’d like to fly to Paris from SFO on Delta and/or Air France with our friends from CT. Removing the award chart is essentially the same as Delta saying, “Trust me.” Whatever happened to “trust but verify”?
I’d like to redeem LAX-CDG in Air France’s new business class seats but, alas, I don’t have the 760,000 miles Delta is charging me (just an educated guess based on their not being an award chart).
I’m planning on redeeming my Delta miles for my end of the summer move to Taiwan. I don’t think Delta was very wise or friendly in removing their charts and that’s why I’m cleaning my house(account).
With due apology, I have to admit that I do not like Delta program and have never used it. I hope I will still get one entry into this giveaway. Thanks.
I plan to use them as quickly as I can..probably on an intra South American flight..I just don’t think you can ever trust any airline especially Delta!
I’m looking to redeem my skymiles for a trip to oz on partner virgin Australia. The chart removal was u friendly. I liken it to “buying” something that you’ve been saving for only to find out it costs more than you budgeted regardless of when you go to buy the item. Lacking transparency is NOT good for any consumer!
I would love to burn what I have left of skymiles for a FRA – Ric trip for my mother in law. I found out how unfriendly Delta FF program was on my very first award booking to Germany and pretty much gave up on the program because I didn’t want to go through that again! In contrast to what they have now set up, the old broken system doesn’t even seem that bad!
I’m going to go see mountain gorillas and elephants in East Africa with Delta Skyteam partners AF/KL. Delta’s decision to remove award charts was definitely not friendly and seems shifty.
I’m avoiding Delta right now and not redeeming points with them. I think removing their award chart was neither friendly nor good business practice!
Going to Toronto for a quick trip. Delta’s decision to remove award charts seem stupid.
I would love to go to Bora Bora as it is relatively high on my bucket list. And what was Delta thinking removing its award charts?!
I plan on traveling to Europe, and burn my miles. Delta’s removal of the award chart is just another reduction of the value of being a member of the program.
I’d like to go to Hawaii through Delta or a partner. I think removing Delta’s award charts makes it even more difficult to plan trips with award miles.
I would like to take my family to someplace warm like Florida or Southern California on Delta. Removing their award chart is pretty shady…of course so is their limiting 25k redemption to 3 weeks out…and raising the spending requirement…and…okay, you get my point.
Delta is like a used card lot you see outside a military installation, just waiting to take advantage of the unsuspecting with hidden language that jacks up interests rates, buried fees and basically makes you pay for more than you get all the while laughing at you.
Business just isn’t honest anymore.
I would love to go to Europe from SFO with my family on a nice vacation using Delta miles. I think Delta’s removal of award chart is “unfriendly” and should be brought back for all of us to enjoy it!
Just burned through my last skypesos on a trip with my mother to Europe. Removing the award chart was definitely a bush-league move however I’m not too surprised Delta would pull something like that.
I’m going to Singapore on Delta’s partner Vietnam Airlines. Delta’s move is awful.
While I have no hate for Delta they have turned into the Hilton of Airline programs. I’m not hub captive to them so I earn few miles there. I would like to use my Delta miles for a short domestic hop to position for a cruise someday.
It was not friendly for them to remove the award charts.
I’m redeeming my delta miles on their partner Virgin Australia for a one-way business class trip to Sydney.
Removing the award chart is a pretty unfriendly a bold move, but it does seem to set the tone for the industry in the upcoming years. Essentially I feel like while points and miles won’t go away anytime soon that we need to cash in now as the opportunities to earn big are closing.
I’m going to Pragur and I think Delta’s removal of the Awards Chart is despicable!
I think it was terrible for Delta to remove their reward chart.
I want to redeem miles on Virgin Australia for a trip to Australia next Jan/Feb.
Bryan
Well, I have 4 award tix booked on DL LAX-CDG-BCN, but I’m double-booked on AA. I have far more AA Miles than DL, so I was going to use AA tix…but with the DL shenanigans, I’m rethinking it all. DL has nerves of steel.
i’d like to take a summer trip to munich. delta’s award chart removal was not friendly.
I’m trying to get my family to Australia. How do I know how many miles I need to save if Delta takes away their award chart.
I want to use my miles to fly from NYC or BOS to Paris with my daughter and husband. Eliminating the award charts, and even worse their lack of honest communication about their changes, will keep me from ever flying them again, especially since I don’t live near a hub.
I’m not using Delta miles at all. It’s my least favorite program. But I’m always up for some professional award mile planning. I’d like to go from the US to Ireland, on to Israel and return. Ideally I’d use my British Airways Avios, but avoid high taxes by keeping out of London. Any suggestions?
PSC to Orlando..only got enough miles for 2 with their 65k per RT now..:-(.
I will use the Delta award to fly from NYC to Italy. I think Delta remove award chart doesn’t help them build a relationship with customers in using their airline or their credit card.
I recently redeemed for trips to NZ (via BNE on VA) and to Croatia. Will probably redeem next Skymiles for Europe again. TBD where though. Maybe Germany, Austria or France for Christmas markets this winter.
Removing the charts is both brilliant and horrible!
I want to go to Hawaii, and the award chart move was awful, but not surprising given who we are dealing with.
NYC to KEF, maybe a stopover in London on the way over. And connecting flights to/from STL if we’re lucky! Removing award charts is not good….no good reason to withhold info from members; give people the numbers and let them decide.
Would love to use my Sky Pesos to get to Scotland next summer and, no, most unprofessional to just blink off the award chart. Somehow this doesn’t surprise me.
Would love to win a free award booking as our Scottish trip summer complex. Thanks.
I’m using my Delta miles for Aerolineas Argentinas business class from JFK to EZE. Removing the award chart seems like typical Delta behavior at this point.
Will use miles to go to Torino to visit my father’s birthplace.
Delta is minimizing the value of their miles and removing the chart because there are are consequences due to lack of competition.
Most likely I will use SkyMiles for a flight to Phoenix for a Spring Training game.
I managed to dump off most of my Skymiles for a trip for my wife and I to Bali. Delta’s move is awful, but just the latest in a pretty big series of moves that hurt the customer.
Redeeming Skymiles for short haul flights at saver level and am not too upset my Delta’s removal of their award chart.
Also I don’t really care if they removed the charts.
I’d like to use my Delta miles to travel to Tokyo. Delta removing the mileage charts is absolutely ridiculous!
Flying on Delta to NYC, and do not like Delta removing their award chart.
With only 16k Skypesos, I’m not going anywhere fast. I just barely followed the award chart before…now that it’s gone they can really make up anything they want, can’t they?

I recently redeemed for trips to AZ. Maybe Dallas this summer with the miles.
Removing the charts is brilliant as most people are not paying attention.
Hello, I would love to redeem air travel on Delta Sky miles partner for a around the world award ticket but it looks like it will get nothing but harder in the future with the new change that Delta has made. WOW! We as award junkies figure it out and they go changing things? Why?
I am actually going to burn the last of my Delta miles going to Bora Bora on TN, and Delta removing their award charts is the last straw; I will do everything I can to avoid flying DL in future.
I do not have enough miles to book anything with Delta right now since I am new to the points world. I will be Actively Avoiding Accruing An Abundance of Abased Airfare Awards with this Awful Airline.
Have not used Delta or partner award in about 5 years. Would like help with award travel to Australia, Delta or otherwise. I think it’s amazingly brazen of Delta to remove their award chart and I hope all Delta members show their displeasure by voting with their business.
I unfortunately don’t have any Delta SkyMiles at present so I am not yet redeeming any. Regardless, I don’t like any efforts by an airline to take tools away for redeeming miles.
Proud to say I have ZERO Skymiles, but if I did have any, I would use it on Virgin Australia from LAX-SYD. (Have SPG, AMEX and AA miles) Also, it was a total bo****ks move of Delta to remove the award chart. Bo****ks!!
