Starbucks Rewards has announced some major changes to their rewards program which will go into effect on February 13, 2023, however for those used to the current system, these changes could be considered a devaluation.

The last Starbucks Rewards changes happened back in 2019, where free beverages went from 125 stars to 150 stars.

Currently free bakery items start at 50 stars and these will be increasing to 100 stars, whereas free beverages are now 150 stars are increasing up to 200 stars.

  1. When I read the email subject line, I knew that negative changes were coming. My favorite item, the almond croissant, is no longer. There are no “filling” menu items, and the smaller sized sweets can be eaten in two bites. Finally, I don’t want more plastic cups, but rather metal or ceramic ones. However, it IS walking distance from my home, so I will still stop by.

  2. Changes from time to time are good because people want change in everything, they get bored of getting same things everyday. In my opinion the new bounty program is better than the previous one.

  3. Lol to the person that said “changes are good” above. All that’s happening is that people need to spend even more to get a free beverage… how’s that a good change? Maybe for Starbucks but not for people, but I know people still will do it
