Southwest Airlines has extended its schedule through September 2026, and added more Hawaii routes this time around. We’ll see new service from both Burbank, CA and Ontario, CA to Honolulu Hawaii starting next summer.

Southwest explains that it will be connecting Burbank, California to Honolulu beginning Aug. 4, 2026. The carrier is also adding daily service between Ontario, California, and Honolulu scheduled to begin June 4, 2026.
Other highlights in the schedule include new service from San Diego to Santa Barbara, CA., The airlines will also be doubling its daily roundtrip flights between San Diego and Portland, Salt Lake City, and Seattle next summer as well.
In Long Beach expect to see service added to both Portland and Seattle next summer as well, as the airline continues to compete with Alaska Airlines in these two markets.
